Overview

The Vala AL takes everything that makes the carbon Vala such a standout eMTB and packages it into a refined, hard-wearing aluminium frame. Same geometry, same Bosch power system, same 150 mm / 160 mm suspension platform — just with the durability and price point of a premium alloy chassis.

Bosch Power, Full Range

The Bosch Performance Line CX motor and 600 Wh internal battery deliver responsive, predictable assistance on any climb. For longer days out, the Vala AL is compatible with the 250 Wh PowerMore range extender for extra mileage without compromise.

Suspension & Handling

With 150 mm rear travel and a 160 mm fork, the Vala AL strikes a confident balance between agility and capability. It shines on technical singletrack, bike-park laps and big mountain days where control and comfort matter most.

Engineered Alloy Frame

The aluminium chassis follows the same sizing and stiffness principles as the carbon Vala, available from SM to XL. It’s built to last, easy to live with, and maintains the same proven kinematics and geometry that define the Vala ride feel.

MX Wheel Setup

A 29” front wheel for traction and rollover paired with a 27.5” rear for quick handling — the Vala AL uses the same mixed-wheel layout trusted across Santa Cruz’s trail and eMTB lineup.

Simple, Set-and-Forget Geometry

The Vala AL runs a fixed geometry and kinematic package in the “mid” position. No flip chips, no tuning required — just a well-balanced setup that works everywhere.

Clean Controls

A compact wireless Bosch controller paired with a minimal bar-mounted remote keeps the cockpit tidy and intuitive, with all key ride data available at a glance.

Built to Ride

Key details include 200 mm rotors, Boost rear spacing, UDH compatibility and EXO+/DoubleDown tyres — everything you need to ride hard from day one. (Full component differences depend on the build level — Vala AL is available in two spec options.)
